Terms & Conditions – Byron Writers Festival
This ticket is sold by Byron Writers Festival Limited ABN 94 163 348 616 / ACN 664 156 709 (The Festival) who is responsible for the Event.
- The Festival may amend the festival program at any time without notice; unavoidable program changes will be advised on site.
- No refunds on tickets will be given except in accordance with the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice. If the event is unable to proceed on the advertised date or location due to intervening circumstances such as a force majeure, state of emergency (e.g. bushfires or floods), public health emergency, travel warnings or and government directives, Byron Writers Festival reserves the right to reschedule the Event, and offer a credit or exchange to the rescheduled date, or offer a refund request window of 28 days.
- Participation in the Festival and entry to the festival site and the festival car park is at your own risk. To the maximum extent at law, you release the Festival, its Directors, employees, subcontractors and agents from any liability whatsoever arising, however caused by your attendance at the Festival.
- The Festival reserves the right to take photographs and video, which may include images of Festival attendees, for the duration of the Festival and across all Festival sites and reserves the right to use all images and video across Festival media platforms and Festival promotional materials thereafter including supply of materials to media outlets.
- No commercial activity may be conducted, and no written material or goods of any description handed out or otherwise distributed, at the Festival site without the express permission of the Festival.
- No photograph or audio or video recording may be taken at the Festival site, other than for private non-commercial purposes, without the express permission of the Festival.
- The Festival may refuse admission to the Festival site, and eject from the Festival site, any person whose behaviour is inappropriate or a threat to public safety.
- You must bring your ticket (physical or electronic version) for entry to the Festival site, where it will be exchanged for a wristband. You must wear your wristband/pass throughout the period you are at the Festival site. Please note, a 3-Day Pass is a multiple day ticket for the use of one person and cannot be shared. Your wristband is non removable / non transferable once issued and any wristband that has been removed or tampered with will not be replaced.
- You must bring proof of eligibility for concession and discounted local tickets to the Festival site and the Festival may refuse entry if this is not provided upon request.
- Minors under the age of 18 must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult 18+ while on the Festival site. Ages are calculated at the date of entry to the Event.
- Â The Festival reserves the right to examine and search all bags (including handbags), parcels and packages which are brought, or proposed to be brought, onto the Festival site, and to effect such other security measures as are reasonably necessary to protect the Festival site.
- The Festival may amend or vary these terms and conditions at any time and that amendment will take effect from the time the amended terms and conditions are placed on the Festival website (www.byronwritersfestival.com).
Terms & Conditions – Festival Schools DaysÂ

The following conditions are of sale, entry and attendance at the Event.

- Participation in the School Days program and entry to the Festival site is at your school’s own risk. To the maximum extent at law, you release the Festival, its Directors, employees, subcontractors and agents from any liability whatsoever arising, however caused by your attendance at the event.

- No photograph or audio or video recording may be taken at the session location, other than for private non-commercial purposes with parent consent, without the express permission of the Festival. For the privacy of participants, no images or videos may be shared on social media without parental consent.Â
- The Festival reserves the right to take photographs and video, which may include images of Festival attendees, for the duration of the Festival and across all Festival sites and reserves the right to use all images and video across Festival media platforms and Festival promotional materials thereafter including supply of material to media outlets.

Terms & Conditions – Workshops and Membership
This ticket is sold by Byron Writers Festival Limited ABN 94 163 348 616 / ACN 664 156 709 (The Festival) who is responsible for the Event.
The following conditions are both of sale and attendance.
- The Festival may amend the workshop, seminar, course or membership package at any time without notice. Unavoidable changes will be advised on our website byronwritersfestival.com and all previously enrolled participants notified.
- In the event that Byron Writers Festival must cancel or reschedule a workshop, seminar or course, and the participant is unable to attend on the amended date, payment will be refunded in full.
- Except in exceptional circumstances, once purchased, workshop fees will not be refunded. If participants are unable to attend a workshop, and cancel their booking within seven days of the workshop, Byron Writers Festival may offer the place to a waitlisted participant. If filled, Byron WF may offer a credit for an alternative event or program. Credits must be redeemed within one year of issue or at a later date at Byron Writers Festival’s discretion. If not filled, the workshop fee will be forfeited.
- Except in exceptional circumstances, once purchased, membership fees will not be refunded.Â
- No commercial activity may be conducted, and no written material or goods of any description handed out or otherwise distributed, at the workshop, seminar or course without the express permission of the Festival.
- No photograph or audio or video recording may be taken at the workshop, seminar or course, other than for private non-commercial purposes, without the express permission of the Festival.
- Workshop participant contact details may be shared with the workshop presenter to facilitate communication.
- The Festival may refuse admission to the workshop, seminar or course, and eject from the event, any person whose behaviour is inappropriate or a threat to public safety.
- The Festival may amend or vary these terms and conditions at any time and that amendment will take effect from the time the amended terms and conditions are placed on the Festival website (www.byronwritersfestival.com).
